    Maersk Tracking

With Maersk tracking, knowing the whereabouts of your freight and events related to it is made convenient. With only the tracking, shipment, customer, or reference number, you can leverage the tracking service on the company’s main website to get the latest updates on your items.

The company’s native website is just one way of tracking the journey of your packages as they move from one destination to another. A robust third-party platform like TrackingMore can provide a more convenient way of accessing the tracking history of your items in an easy-to-understand format. Continue reading to learn the procedure for Maersk tracking using the official website and TrackingMore.

How Can I Track My Maersk Package?

For some people, the idea of tracking a Maersk package seems like an impossible thing to do considering the huge size of the company. However, it is easier than many think and possible in a number of ways, as discussed below.

    • Via Maersk Official Website

    Maersk Tracking page

The Maersk website has a dedicated tracking page that allows users to look up their shipments and be informed about their shipping progress. You can use this website by following the instructions below.

    1. Visit the Maersk official website.

    2. Click the ‘Track A Shipment’ button at the top of your screen.

    3. Scroll down to locate the tracking tool.

    4. Select the right tracking input format and enter your shipment, tracking, customer or reference number.

    5. If you know more details, such as the shipper and destination zip code, you can supplement them for better results.

    6. Click ‘Track’ and then wait for Maersk to populate the results for you.

    Maersk Tracking Number

Maersk’s shipment and container tracking is made possible through a tracking number (container or bill of lading number). This tracking ID must be entered into a tracking platform to locate a shipment’s whereabouts and know what its latest status is.

Maersk container numbers have a four-letter prefix, such as MRKU and MRSU. Seven numbers follow this prefix. The container number is printed on the booking form and top right corner of each container door. Some examples of these numbers are as follows.

    -MRKU2040123

    -MRSU3305965

The bill of lading number is made up of nine characters in total (all numerals) and is printed on the shipment booking form. An example of a Maersk bill of lading number is shown below.

    -383014483

    Maersk Tracking Status
