Cyprus Post Tracking Number

The Cyprus Post tracking number is a 13-character alphanumeric code that acts as the key to your shipment delivery status. All Cyprus Post tracking numbers follow the same format with some differences depending on the postal service used and the country of origin.

The Cyprus Post tracking number format always starts with two letters, followed by nine digits, and ends with two letters. The first letter indicates the shipment's category and the last two letters denote the country of origin. The tracking system only accepts tracking numbers starting with the letters R (Registered), L(Express), C(Parcels), CE(Premium Parcels), and E(EMS items).

However, if the tracking number begins with the letter U it can't be tracked since it only shows the package contains some goods. However, the package can be tracked under the specific condition that the U package is subject to customs. QuickPost packages also have a slightly different tracking number format which has 10 digits. The local courier PostExpress also uses different variations of alphanumeric tracking numbers.

What Does My Cyprus Post Status Mean?

To help you understand what's happening to your shipment at any given moment, Cyprus Post uses shipment statuses to mark each delivery milestone. These statuses usually start when your shipment is picked up, updating everything happening until it reaches its recipient. 

Shipment Status 

Meaning 

Receive item from customer (Otb)

This is usually the first step of the delivery process where Cyprus Post acknowledges they have received your shipment.

Insert item into bag (Otb)

Your shipment has been successfully picked up and is in possession of a Cyprus Post courier heading to a sorting facility.

Receive item at office of exchange (Inb)

The package has arrived at the office of exchange to be sorted accordingly. This can also include customs for some shipments.

Send item to domestic location (Inb)

The shipment is en route to a local Cyprus Post facility, or a domestic carrier facility to be processed for the final delivery.

Unsuccessful item delivery attempt (Inb)

You will receive this status if the courier is unable to deliver the shipment to the recipient. This could be due to a mistake in the address or the recipient wasn't available.

Deliver item (Inb)

The shipment has been successfully delivered to the recipient's specified delivery address.
