Why are you assuming that the employees aren\'t doing their jobs? I am waiting for packages too, but I assume it is a combination of an under-funded organization that has been having difficulties for years due to the change in mailing habits (fewer letters, more packages). That was before Covid. Now the system is, no doubt, overwhelmed. After a point, employees get injured and burnt out, and they are less efficient even if they want to do a good job. Funny how people like to feel morally superior and blame other individuals rather than look at larger, systemic issues. I have never worked for Canada Post but I can\'t believe the employees are any worse than any others.

I totally believe that Canada Post employees aren\'t doing their jobs. They are one of the most heavily unionized of all Crown Corporations. They only deliver mail Monday-Friday (less than the USPS). The issues they have are unrelated to government funding, before the last strike, they were making money. The problem is they are like many Crown Corporations/federal agencies.....firmly entrenched in the past. The world changed and if they aren\'t agile enough of an organization to change with it, they aren\'t meeting their mandate of serving Canadians.
