## Engineer Dads Turned Outfit Designers
In 2014, former college buddies and now engineer dads Ken Gao and Albert Wang launched PatPat in Mountain View, California. The idea was to reinvent the supply chain in kids' fashion after the dads noticed a gap in the market, which led to many parents being overcharged to dress their children stylishly.

The plan was to cut out traditional retail markups and allow parents to buy their kids in-trend, high-quality outfits at manufacturer prices. The idea picked up, and in 2015, PatPat’s app was recommended on the App Store homepage because of many positive reviews and ratings.

In 2016, it was rated as the ‘Top Recommended Shopping App’ on the App Store. In the same year, it also ranked as the ‘Best Baby Supplies App’ on the App Store, further enhancing its status as a destination for bargain-seeking parents. PatPat now has 21M customers in 140 countries and features more than 30,000 kids and family cloth styles.

However, PatPat’s growth was never without issues. With more orders coming in from different parts of the world, PatPat needed a reliable tracking solution to help improve last-mile carrier tracking. This led to PatPat partnering with TrackingMore in 2016.

TrackingMore’s API consistently communicated with individual carrier websites and relayed information to PatPat on time without fail. Within less than a week, PatPat’s IT team integrated the API into its logistics management system.

When PatPat decided to ship to different countries around the world, onboarding carriers was one of the main challenges it faced. TrackingMore allowed PatPat to access 1093 carriers in its network and onboard new ones in a week upon request.

The 16-day wait time before a delivery could contribute to customer post-purchase anxiety, leading to PatPat’s customer service team receiving numerous refund requests. TrackingMore has helped PatPat cut down such requests significantly with heightened shipment visibility.
